Peter and Wendy (1911) is J. M. Barrie’s most significant work. Initially it was written as a play (1906) and staged at Duke of York’s Theatre in London and was a tremendous success. This is the reason why the novel is permeated with dramatism and masterly crafted dialogs.
Who is Peter Pan? A handsome and talented boy – creative and brave and a little…well, incredibly boastful. In a word – the best boy in the world!
