The lively characters Prptik and Mtmtik were created by Zangak. Their educational adventures are accessible through QR codes in several of our primary school textbooks, and on YouTube.

The Adventurers children's adventure series was created under the editorship of fairy tale scholar Alvard Jivanyan.

The Zangak bookstore separated from the publishing house and quickly became a beloved and well-known bookstore network.

The No Week Without... selection series was launched, authored, and edited by literary critic Hayk Hambardzumyan.

2015

The publication of King Lear marked the beginning of exclusive Shakespearean and classical translations by Aram Topchyan and Gohar Muradyan.

2014

The publishing house paved a new path for young readers by launching the annual Summer Reading program for children and teenagers.

Zangak acquired the rights to translate and publish J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series in Armenia.

To promote reading on a large scale, Zangak gave away thousands of books through social media on Book Donation Day.

The Zangak bookstore network was founded, with its first location opening at 49/2 Komitas Avenue.

2011

Primary schools in Kyrgyzstan began using Zangak’s mathematics textbooks. Around the same time, Zangak collaborated with Kyrgyz authors to create music and fine arts textbooks for primary schools in Kyrgyzstan.

2009

The World Through Armenian series was launched, presenting some of the finest translations of world literature.

2007

The School Library series was created, featuring Armenian Language and Armenian Literature collections.

2003

The website zangak.am was launched.

2002

Zangak expanded internationally, participating annually in the Frankfurt Book Fair since 2002.

The Zangak printing house and staff were established at 49/2 Komitas Avenue.

The Tatev Educational Complex was founded to support professional education development in Armenia.

2000

The Zangak bookstore opened its doors on Khanjyan Street. It was one of the first specialized bookstores in independent Armenia, displaying and selling only books published by Zangak.

1999

Under the editorship of Kristine Mkrtchyan, Companion began publication in Zangak. It was one of the first youth and cultural magazines in Armenia since independence.

1998

The first book published by Zangak was Hayk Khachatryan’s historical novel Vachagan, dedicated to King Vachagan III the Pious.

1997

Zangak-97 LLC and its namesake publishing house were founded.
