Florian Zeller's theater explores the paradoxical unity of contemporary European life. In nearly all his plays, marriage is portrayed as both essential and impossible, while solitude is equated with nonexistence. Couples are depicted not in their happiness but in their crises, with family relationships woven into webs and labyrinths. The Armenian collection of Zeller’s works includes The Father, The Mother, The Son, The Truth, The Lie, and The Other. Despite their thematic and stylistic differences, these six plays share a central thread: the drama of constructing and deconstructing illusion, presented as the foundation and essence of human existence.
