Social Responsibility

Educational and social initiatives are central to Zangak’s mission, allowing us to remain close to our readers while fostering positive change. We collaborate with like-minded organizations to promote the transformative power of books and reading. Below are some of our recent initiatives and partnerships.

INITIATIVES

Since 2014, Zangak has been organizing the “Summer Reading” program for schoolchildren, designed to enrich the summer months of children and youth with engaging literary and theatrical events. This initiative encourages new friendships and the joy of reading, culminating in a competition where the libraries of the schools of top readers receive books as presents.

In 2022, Zangak Bookstore chains, together with our team, launched the annual Children’s Book Festival. The festival is packed with events and a vibrant book fair, welcoming participation from almost all publishing houses across Armenia.

PARTNERSHIPS

In April 2024, we partnered with “Children of the Regions,” an initiative that brought together over 400 experts, entrepreneurs, and intellectuals for the “Dialogue of Generations” regional forum in Vardenis. This event provided a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience with the younger generation.

Zangak is also a proud partner of the “10:30 Club,” a knowledge-sharing platform where multidisciplinary discussions foster learning and charitable work.

Moreover, we sponsor the Koreez All-School Intellectual Online Competition, open to 5th-12th graders from all public and private schools across Armenia, as well as students from state colleges.

In partnership with the Ayb Educational Foundation, we support the Hybrid Education Program launched in 2022. Based on the “Araratian Baccalaureate” (AB) model, this innovative program aims to provide 10th graders in public schools with an internationally competitive education.

In 2022, driven by the initiative of our directors and staff, we furnished classrooms and expanded the library at Tatev Community School in Syunik region, providing books from Zangak’s collection.

Lastly, our collaboration with the Reading Man/Homo Legens library in the Gusanagyugh community of Shirak region has been a successful effort since 2021, supporting young people in their mission to grow this valuable community resource.
